home stretch

All that was left before the bus was livable was plumbing and a few odds & ends.

Starla had already delivered our second child, and we had arranged to stay with parents and grandparents until plumbing was complete and we could move in.

As you can imagine, between a laundry list of last-minute critical bus projects, an 18-month-old and a newborn, we had found a new sense of urgency. I had been granted paternity leave, so we once again enlisted the help of Starla’s grandfather and made our final push towards completion.
